It's our kids Christmas Party today and they are very much excited to celebrate the season of gift giving with their classmates and teacher. For one week, we roamed around the malls to purchase the right outfit for them. "K-pop" or korean pop attire for my girl and a.k.a. Justine Beaver for my Son... Lol! The frugal me wanted to trim down their budget but my hubby instructed me to just purchase their outfit with eyes close...Lol. Anyway, they deserved it for making good at school.
Thanks to my sister-in-law for the shoes that arrive all the way from California. Pictures will be posted soon since I misplaced our camera... Oh where are you GE Cam !

Thanks to Black Friday my sister-in-law was able to double the items she usually sends every Christmas because of the big discounts she was able to avail. We are all very much excited to receive the package before the year ends. My kids could no longer wait to see their gadgets, branded shoes and apparel. My hubby also kept on guessing what his biking shoes and sports watch looks like. Me? I didn't ask Genelie for specific items. I am that kind of person who does not demand . I know how hard life is in the states .Dollars are not earned that easy ... so I just wait whats for me.

I greatly Thank God that my Son was able to maintain his scholarship for the 2nd quarter of 2010. When the teacher announced the names of those who were able to make it he was confident that he will make it to the top 10 among the 300 students in LDCU 2nd year High School. Some were crying while some went home before the class ended.
I owe to God the wisdom and knowledge that enabled IJ to understand his lessons well. For the talents and the skills on his extra-curricular activities like public speaking, music and arts. Truly, God is the source of everything! Amen?

Reflection # 2 : The Cell
Tuesday, December 07, 2010
by kidsturf
Cells, these are tiny organisms that are so much alive. In fact, we have billions of them. In this lesson, I learned that cell was discovered by Robert Hooke but it as dead ones. As years gone by, many scientist like Robert Brown, Theodore Schawnn and etc, now state the Cell theory. Cell has its parts. These parts are so microscopic, but has the most important jobs. Without it, we would die. All these things are the ones I learned in this lesson. I enjoyed it much because our teacher gave us reporting about it. With all the manila papers, markers and everything, I enjoyed it much. I expect more reporting, much terms for the following lessons!

Have you heard of “ Pets and People's" party? Or have you been to dog holidays? My sister-in-law in California told me that she and her boyfriend attended a party where people with their canine come together for fun. Only that the time of the party is regulated so that dogs will not become over-stimulated. If people need socialization… Dogs too! Lol! Wish I could attend a " Pets and People's" Party and someday. Our pet dog "Bubbles" will surely love it .

Looking for Top Credit Cards?

Hhhmmm...to be honest, I’m somewhat doubtful when it comes to credit cards. Having seen some of my friends suffer from paying their big, big debts really scares me. I don’t want to see myself in their shoes that is why I am contented with having one credit card.
I’ve read of a company that offers business credit card with a different approach to their customers. Unlike other credit card companies, they tell their customers what they need to know instead of what they need to hear. They constantly monitor the credit card market so that you may find the best offer that suits your current financial needs, not just the offer that meets the advertising goals of the credit card companies Visit www.firstcredit.netI to know the top credit card offers.

The Study of Life
Tuesday, December 07, 2010
by kidsturf
My son was busy last week writing reflections for his Portfolio in Biology Subject. So I decided to post it here. This is just one of the 30 reflections he did!
Wow! I finally started my second year in the World of Science! I heard many feed backs about Biology from second years students before that biology is really exhausting subject. But they was wrong, biology is very exciting! Studying the “Study of life” brings me to a new world to wander, all about life. I am very excited to start my journey in learning first the basics. In this lesson, I learned that biology is the study of life and biologist is the one you major its research about life. I also learned about the different apparatus used by scientist. Because of these, I am eager to be a scientist someday, depending on what is the plan of God. Microscope is my favorite topic. I wonder how humans invented it, on how it visualize microorganism that is impossible for us to see. Discoveries in science is really unbelievable, right? Specially a camera. How can a small lens capture a photo? I wonder why. Anyway, it is just a good start for me to learn all this things. I will expect more wonders and more adventure as I tackle more lessons. So, I better get going!

Cellphone Stolen !
Friday, December 03, 2010
by kidsturf
For the whole day yesterday I have been calling my son in his cellphone. I was ready to scold him as he arrived home but was greeted with a bad news – His cellphone was stolen. He can not remember how and when it was lost. The last time he remembered was when he looked at the time through his cellphone. He suspect it was stolen in his pocket while riding a public utility jeep. His cellphone was a costly one, a Samsung I-touch model we gifted during his birthday last May. Wishing the phone was covered with insurance. Talking about insurance, here’s a list of type of insurance and it’s terms and definitions. Please click here if you wish to know them all.
Your House - Your Personality
Friday, December 03, 2010
by kidsturf
They say that your house reflects your personality. I guess it is true because my mother-in-law’s house is full of artworks, crafts , paintings, musical instruments and modern furniture . She’s an artist that is why stepping into her house is like stepping into an art exhibit. Look at the below above, who would thought that this is her garage?
We have a distant relative who loves rustic and vintage furniture .His collection of retro pieces made his house look like a museum and a haunted house. Pink house? Yes! A friend is a die hard fan of Hello Kitty so when she got married , she painted her house pink in and out! Lol!
