What more can one picture Christmas than the image of
Star of Bethlehem. Yes, millions of people celebrate Christmas every year and millions are looking forward to celebrating this season of giving with their love ones, family, relatives and friends. It is the longest of all seasons here in our place. The “ber” months here, starting with the month of September signifies the start of the Christmas season. You can hear the songs “Jingle Bells”, and “White Christmas” (though it doesn’t snow here...LOL!) played in radios, TV programs, in public transports and almost everywhere. People get so excited that even the local officials of our city have lined up Christmas activities and publicly announce it as early as October to add up to the excitement around.
But for my family, we always see to it that the huzzle and bustle of Christmas will not erase our thoughts on the One who gave us the real message of Christmas, the Son of God...Jesus. He may be depicted as Baby Jesus on Holiday Cards, gift wraps, “belens”, decorations and any other things, but still, Jesus is the reason for the season. He’s the reason why we celebrate Christmas, expressed by His love to us by giving us the Best gift of all time...JESUS.
